I am the founder of Root 39 Salon & Spa, Inc. and an American Board Certified Haircolorist. It is an honor to serve our guest was such a passionate array of ladies. Root 39 has been in business since 1997. After more than 39 years of doing what I love I could not imagine any other path in life.

I am so proud of our team, there exemplary work ethic, compassion, dedication, ability to listen, perform, thirst for knowledge and growth motivate me. I am looking forward to expanding our services, educational opportunities and developing our property. We will continue to improve and grow as we identify the needs of our guests.

Rita

I have been with Root 39 Salon and Spa for 21 years. I started as an intern in 2001 and have been the manager now for 12 years.

I'm experienced with color, cuts, and pedicures. My passion, however, is to put together formal styles for weddings, dances, and other celebrations.

In my 21 years at Root 39 Salon, I have traveled to Las Vegas, New York City, Baltimore, Chicago, Cleveland, Orlando, and Nashville for extensive education. As a senior stylist I am also an educator for our Academy Program. This program is the foundation of our business where we build our assistant stylists into confident and talented stylists. 

I truly enjoy where I work and the team of girls that I work with. It is always my pleasure to make my guests look and feel beautiful!

Jessica

Hi, my name is Jessica.

Lenka

American Board of Certified Haircolorists.  I joined the Root 39 Salon and Spa Team in 2010 and I am honored to be a three-time winner of our corporation’s makeover contest.

In 2014, I became a United States Citizen and one of the first cosmetologists in Western New York to study and pass the American Board Certification of Haircolorists.

To remain current with the ever-changing trends, I travel to hair shows and participate in hands-on classes.

My outlook on life is to always do the best job that I can and to treat everyone with respect.

Sadie

Hi, I am Sadie! I have been with Root 39 since 2018. I am a licensed Esthetician and Cosmetologist.

I began my career as an intern while still in Boces and continued my education at Continental School of Beauty. I participated in classes at the Lanza Big Event in Nashville. I completed Root 39 Academy, studying throughout the pandemic. I am certified in Lash Lifts and Tints as well as Dermaplaning.

My first passion is skin care. I offer a variety of facials, body waxing, makeup applications, manicures, and pedicures. Because of my dual license, I am also proficient in cuts, colors, and a variety of hair services.

I continue to further my education in the ever changing beauty world. I would love to to meet and serve you at an appointment soon!

Danielle

My name is Danielle. I bring 18 years of beauty industry experience to the Salon. Specializing in bridal makeup and hair color, I have won the prestigious corporation makeover contest. I was also named Employee of the Year in 2013 and 2015.

I am one of only three American Board Certified Haircolorists in Western New York, all of us from the same salon. This took many hours of studying and testing to compete. I also hold certification in the Kenra smoothing system.

As a member of the ColorProof Envoy Program, I have a complete understanding of the ColorProof brand and its products. This gives me the opportunity to share this knowledge with our stylists and clients within the salon.

To further my education, I have traveled to N.Y.C., Nashville, Cleveland, Washington, D.C., and Jamaica. It has been my privilege to study under Vidal Sassoon’s protégé, Phillip Wilson as well as Matthew Swinney, L’ANZA's Global Creative Director and recipient of the 2016’s NAHA Hairstylist of the Year Award.

My goal is to excel in every aspect of our salon and to help put Root 39 Salon & Spa on the map. And hopefully, one day, bring home the coveted NAHA. (I am also a part of the Nationwide Wetbrush Sing-off Champions! You can look up the video via our Facebook page or Youtube!)

Haley

Hi, my name is Haley!  I have been a proud member of the Root 39 family since 2014!  From appearance enhancement to fashion, I am passionate about helping people realize how beautiful they are.

As any good stylist should, I love expanding upon my education. I travel for classes and hair shows, bringing my new skills home to implement in our salon. I have been blessed with the opportunities to work side by side with and learn from some of the top artists in our industry.

At Root 39, I offer a wide variety of services, specializing in tape-in extensions, and blonding. However, nothing makes me happier than taking the time to get to know everyone that sits in my chair and build a relationship with them.

Tammy

Hello, my name is Tammy.

I have been a stylist for over 28 years and joined the Root 39 Salon and Spa Team in 2006. Known for my short, funky haircuts, I specialize in color, highlights, and cutting.

To remain current with the latest trends, styles, and techniques, I frequently attend classes. My desire for continued education has taken me to New York City, Nashville, Cleveland, and Jamaica for events and training.

My aspiration is to grow Root 39 Salon and Spa into a global empire.

We recently celebrated our 25th year of being in business and took a trip to Walt Disney World!!! I love Root 39, my co-workers, and everything it stands for. It doesn't get any better than this!

Daisy 

Hi! I'm Daisy.

I have been here at Root 39 Salon & Spa since August 2015 and have been in the beauty industry since 2012. I specialize in Balayage, a low maintenance type of highlight. It's the perfect color for those with a busy lifestyle!

Lexie 

Hi, my name is Lexie and I am a stylist at Root 39 Salon and Spa.

I have been at Root 39 since 2018 and have enjoyed every minute of it! I love cutting, coloring, and specialize in styling, event hair, and lived in blonding. Updos and styling was my first passion within my field when I first started.

I won 2nd place in the NYS Skills USA Cosmetology competition for upstyling and several tests of other aspects of the industry. I traveled to Nashville with our salon team to the L'ANZA hair show to experience new techniques and trends first hand, surrounded by hairstylists from all over the world. I also continue to take classes to expand my education, as learning and growing is very important to me in my craft.

Being a hairstylist is my passion and I would love to have you in my chair!

Hi, my name is Jolene! I graduated from the BOCES cosmetology program in June 2020 and have loved what I do ever since!

I began my journey at Root 39 Salon in January 2022. My favorite services to do in the salon are color and blonding services. I am also certified in keratin treatments.

I am continuously striving to expand my education and stay up-to-date with the latest trends. I would be thrilled to have you in my chair!

Pleased to meet you, I'm Layla.

I have been a member of Root 39 Salon and Spa for three years now. I started as an intern while attending Cosmetology school at Ellicottville BOCES CTE center and later was hired. I am a licensed cosmetologist and I take great pride in creating my clients dream hair. My favorite services are Fashon Color, Updos, Special Event Styles, Tinsel and Nail Art. I can't wait to meet you!

Hi! My names Caelan Hartke!

I joined Root 39 in March 2023 and I’m a licensed stylist! I graduated from East Auroras Erie 2 BOCES! Before I came here I began my career at a different salon doing nails! I wanted to expand and begin to learn hair so I joined the Root 39 family!! I would love to have the opportunity to see you in my chair even if it’s a simple shampoo and style!! Within the first 4 months of being here, I have completed 3 classes. My favorite being the balayage class!
