Root 39 Salon & Spa Giving Back...

We would like to thank everyone who donated to our annual GIVING TREE. We have been blessed to help several families throughout our 25 years. Since changing our format in 2018 to Children's Christmas Gifts, we have purchased, wrapped, and delivered books, clothes, footwear, personal items, and toys to 268 kids as of 2021. This would never be possible without the love of all who donate and volunteer.

We accept monetary donations all year. 100% of your gift is used for the intended purpose. There are no overhead or administrative fees deducted ever.

EASTER EGG HUNT: Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 2pm (rain date April 16)

We are preparing 100 totes with books, candy, and popcorn. There are two age groups: up to 4 years old, 5 years old and over. There will be prizes for each age group for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Please contact us with child's first name and age so we can prepare accordingly. The Easter egg hunt again this year will be in the back of the property. Drive past the parking lot, follow the signs over the rail trail.

TRUNK OR TREAT: Friday, October 28, 2022 from 5:30-6:30pm.

We have raised and donated more than $100,000 to several organizations including:

Make a Wish, Trading Post, Women and Children's Hospital, Hospice, Saint Aloysius School, Saint Judes Children's Research, SPCA, CBN, and Love, Inc.

The Boces Cosmetology course is near and dear to our hearts. Ang is on the Cattaraugus advisory committee. She and Haley have proctored the NATTIS. We have sponsored a color competition for the students, awarded scissors to top seniors, donated products, and have online contests for all WNY BOCES Cosmetology students.

We promote our industry by attending career days and interacting at face-to-face forums with the students. We have had several interns throughout the years train in our salon.

We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation and thanks to all of our guests who have donated as well as so many families outside of our salon community who have adopted our mission and made it their own. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts! Additionally, we are grateful for those who helped shop and wrap for each of the kids we were able to assist!

Each of you has blessed us at Root 39 with your loving hearts.

We strongly beleive giving back to our community and those in need is of the utmost importance.

In 2017,  Root 39 Salon hosted it’s first annual COLOR CHALLENGE for all the WNY Boces Cosmetology students. We donated $1000 in color to area classes. Ashley Chase of Tracy Guntrum’s Ellicottville cosmetology class won a paid internship at Root 39 Salon. We will also be volunteering this year to proxy in the classroom, and helping with career day.

For information on interning or completing our Academy at Root 39, please contact Rita or Danielle.

Stylists have donated their time for Relay for Life and The Trading Post. Our biannual Halloween Party was attended by more than 100 kids. Local salons pulled together to help one of our own in the "Joe The Barber" benefit, we were able to help Joe with $3,000 for wheelchair van access.

Our biggest accomplishment was a $60,000 spaghetti dinner fund raiser for the Bertrand Chaffee Hospital. The support for our local hospital was overwhelming. Other charities and events we have been involved in are Warm the Children, Queen for a Day, The Dairy Princess contest, and the BCH Fashion Show. Annually our clients have helped us help local families at Christmas time with our Giving Tree.

We are so grateful for all of those who donate so generously!
